Go To The Head Of The (CeCe Paint) Class

Do you hear the noise coming from that barn?



It's like a gleeful noise with intermittent silence...it's the sound of people learning to create with CeCe Caldwell Paints!



Being excited about carrying the new CeCe paints was not enough for us; we wanted to learn everything we could about it, so we headed to a class taught by Anne Skougard, the regional distributor for CeCe Caldwell Paints. The class was held in the gorgeous Napa Valley at the beautiful Urban Barn at Sonoma Country Antiques.



We dug (or should we say "brushed"?) right in and



got to work on our lessons, learning a variety of finish techniques and textures that this magical paint can achieve!







An elegantly dressed Anne flitted around the room giving us all personal instruction on how to get the results of a finish that looks 100 years old.







We also tried our collect hands at a faux ceruse finish, and so much more!








We each made our own color charts and got a sneak peek at a few NEW colors that will be out on the market soon.

So next time you're in to Room With A Past or Paris Flea Market (next opening starts TONIGHT through Sunday, April 15th!) don't forget to grab a gallon of inspiration along with a quart of CeCe Caldwell Paint!

It was so fun to have Diablo Magazine's photographer at our shop during the February opening. Did you see him? He was snapping photos of everything from necklaces made of typewriter keys to our huge shabby chic dressers and armoires!

Where There's A Will, There's A Way (& A Teaser!)

Whaddya do when you're out tootling around town in your little ol' car and you find a big ol' piece of furniture at Room With A Past that you hadn't planned on falling in love with?



You say "I CAN DO THIS" and tote that must-have piece out to said little car,



strap it in or NOT (which we don't recommend) if you're only going, like, um, "just taking the back roads home",



recline a few seats, finagle the door angles (measuring tape? I don't need no stinkin' measuring tape!)



and OFF YOU GO!

Check us out. No really, that's what our customers are saying here!!! They've been all around the shop, have goodies in hand are ready to GO!!! We were ziggin' and zaggin' yesterday as the February sale 2/16 - 19th) was in full swing! Let's see what else is happening!



They're heading down the Hall of Mirrors to see what's up in the rooms down that way.


They're down on their knees looking low (and high!) for deals!


They're making calls to get a second opinion on a one-of-a-kind piece!


They're having some fun wherever we look!


LOOK! We spotted a man! It used to be a rare experience, but the menfolk are catching on to all the great deals to be found. What a great way to find the perfect gift for a significant other!
