Witch Hat Do You Like?

Every year at both Room with A Past and Paris Flea Market, we consignors drop our hammers and pick up our glue guns in a fierce battle! Gathering accoutrements of beauty or of the creepy, we attach them on to pointy witch hats. When satisfied that everything is just right, we place them on our heads and open the doors for business!

This years winner was Debi Ortega!!

Next month you can expect to see another holiday being celebrated! Look for lots of vintage Thanksgiving and Christmas goodies November 15 - 18th!
  

Drab To FAB Makeover

We know you love the fabulous CeCe Caldwell's Paints because it's an all “green”, no-need-for-priming or sanding paint. But let's put it to the test and see just what this stuff can do!

How'd we do the simply gorgeous drab to FAB transformation shown above? The tall, dark & handsome dresser, was in good shape overall, but it needed to be perked up! We chose the cheery qualities of Alaskan Tundra Green to do just that. The original bright brassy hardware was first removed, and given a coat of black spray paint. Then we put brush to wood, and tackled the job in no time flat! Cece's Clear Wax gave it the protection it needed to be pressed into service in its new home.

We carry the full line luscious colors, and we now have the NEW COLORS (for a total of 36 fabulous choices!), the easy to apply wax back in clear and dark, plus the satin finish and NEW GLAZE! for FUN last weekend?

We sure did! We held the last Parking Lot Sale of the dry asphalt season and the place was hopping! We started out in the shade, but things heated up as the busy day continued.   

 

 

 

 There was a lot of "working hard"

And a little "hardly working" when the customers started giving us massages!

 All in all it was VERY successful and a good time was had by all!

Time to "pack it in" until next year, but we'll see you again at our October 18th - 21st opening!

Sneek Peek and A PARKING LOT SALE!

We are so glad to announce we will be having one last PARKING LOT SALE before the weather makes us want to go inside and get cozy!





Join us for a "goodbye" to summer on September 20 - 23rd opening at Room With A Past. Our PARKING LOT SALE will be Saturday, Sept. 22 & Sunday Sept. 23rd only.



Is it really fall already?!?!?! We hate to say "good-bye" to summer (what seems like) so soon, but we can't wait to see the gorgeous colors of autumn come breezin' in the door this month. We're not quite all set up but judging by what we've seen so far, like this:



it's going to be a great-looking month! Looking high and low will get you an eye full of elegance:















and whimsy!









There's still plenty of sweetness and light to balance out the darker colors



and the few seasonal decor items starting to creep in (on their own!) so beware!

That describes it perfectly don't you think? We bet Kris Mendez (shown below) would have to agree! She was the winner of our $25.00 shopping spree raffle! All she did was "go bag-less" (you can go bra-less if you want to too, but we don't have a raffle for that!) during one of her visits to Room With A Past and signed up!



Our magnificent obsession leads us to estate sales and flea markets to hunt down goodies all over the state, and then some. We also love to share our wares at local street & vintage fairs. Today we're at the Heartland Danville Antiques & Art Fair, which is organized by the hard-working, always gracious Marcia Harmon of Cottage Jewel.
